J Class 611 and Kodak Reunion
Norfolk & Western 611, meets old friend Kodak
The Norfolk & Western J Class steam locomotive has been photographed countless times. Most recently by thousands of iPhones and digital cameras. But when the chance came up to use my Leica M6 and a few rolls of Kodak 35mm film, it felt like they belonged together. A throwback to steam and film. From my early years in Rochester, I also remember hearing Conrail trains take loads of coal to Kodak during the night. It all connects I suppose.
More photos of the 611 using Kodak film by Wes Reminder are coming soon.
